TPC-C

TPC-C is an on-line transaction processing benchmark. It simulates the work of large number of clients inserting, updating and deleting records in several warehouses.

Our test is not TPC-C but we use similar database structure, tools and scripts.

We plan to test SMP capabilities in InterBase 7.x and the forthcoming Vulcan (and Firebird 3.0, of course).

Results and methodics:
- Download toolkit for TPC-C based tests.
- Source code for TPC-C based executables.

Results review is coming soon - now is available as magazine’s article only.

This is VERY important work. Thank you for all you do.

Personally, I am looking forward to the TPC-C tests as they are a much better measure of enterprise, multi-user performance. The TPC-R results are nice start and especially useful if you are doing single-user or embedded applications.

As a boss of mine used to say… Is it done yet??? ;-> I woul d be interested in seeing InterBase 7.5.1 vs the Firebird Classic builds 1.5.3 and 2.0 Beta. I’d like to see where we are today.
